1.16 - Ready, Set, Kill: Ancient Games from Grappling to Gladiators

Are the good old days truly the good old days? Who is your athletic GOAT? Today Kinsey and Ellie, purchase their tickets to sit in the bleachers of yore as our ancestors step into the proverbial ring. The journey starts with the oldest of organized sports, wrestling. While today's modern techniques closely resemble those of the early 700s BCE, you'll be grateful the uniforms are updated. The next stop on this historical jaunt takes our hosts to Ancient Rome and the Coliseum. The events in this arena kept audience members at the edge of their seats, giving a whole new meaning to bloodthirsty fans! Before returning to the present, Kinsey and Ellie take make one last stop in Mesoamerica to learn all about the sport of Pok-a-Tok... a game that gives a whole new meaning to hip check. As our hosts return to the 21st century they'll wrap up with a dive into the exciting lives of today's athletic wonders... and you though March Madness was crazy!
